Sarah Caravalho Khan is a servant leader who's steady dedication to people, to institutions, and to the growth of others comes alive in all she does. USF impacted my life in so many ways that I expected, and then in ways I didn't expect. I actually credit USF with creating that softness in my heart that allowed me to express myself in a way so that I could actually live a service led life. Change the world from here, what I think about is USF's logo where there are arrows pointing in and then there are arrows pointing out. And to me that means thinking about what you're, what you're building inside your heart, and then being able to expand and contribute externally. As vice president of people operations at Codexis, she brings more than 25 years of experience in talent development across industries. USF holds a special place in her heart, and she has graciously served on the alumni board of directors and as an alumni mentor, she continues to be actively involved in the McGrath Scholars. An experience she finds truly rewarding. I have remained involved with USF since graduation in a few different ways. I volunteered and was a member of the alumni board for about six years, and I really enjoy the connections I made with the people. I really enjoyed being able to learn a little bit about USF behind the scenes that I wouldn't normally have been exposed to. It is so important to stay connected to USF as an alumni for me personally, and that's the advice I would give to other students as they get ready for graduation. Stay connected to what USF is doing, the work that they're doing, that you may not see right away. And that enables me as a donor actually to be able to have some insight into where I might be able to make an impact. For her decades of dedicated service to organizations, her ongoing support of USF's mission, and her commitment to fostering human potential. USF Honors Sarah Caravalho Khan with the Alessandri Service Award.
