Biography
Kristina Hernandez, FNP-C, BC-ADM, is an adjunct professor in the School of Nursing and Health Professions, VA Nursing Partnership Program Sacramento Campus. Her primary areas of teaching include applied assessment and nursing fundamentals. Her clinical expertise includes medical-surgical and telemetry nursing and Inpatient glycemic management. She is the first graduate of the APP Inpatient Glycemic Team Fellowship at UC Davis Medical center and is board certified in Advanced Diabetes Management. She first became inspired to enter the field of nursing as a young patient who was seen by a very compassionate pediatric nurse practitioner for many years. In turn she strives to inspire her students as they prepare to enter into the nursing profession and care for patients.
