Biography

Dr. Mohamad El Najm is an Assistant Professor in the Master of Science in Nursing program at the University of San Francisco, Orange County campus. A registered nurse with around 25 years of experience, he has held roles in critical care, nursing education, and healthcare leadership across the United States and the Middle East. He earned his Ph.D. in Nursing Science from the University of Pretoria and is completing a Doctor of Nursing Practice at Capella University. His academic background also includes master’s degrees in Nursing Education and Healthcare Management, along with extensive work in curriculum development and accreditation.

In addition to teaching, Dr. El Najm serves as ICU Assistant Manager where he leads initiatives in quality improvement, staff development, and evidence-based practice. His professional and scholarly interests focus on nursing leadership, patient safety, and advancing educational excellence to prepare future nurse leaders.
