Nicole L. Beamish

Biography
Nicole Beamish is an adjunct faculty member in the School of Nursing and Health Professions. Having earned both her Master of Science degree in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing degree at USF, she has taught both BSN and MSN clinical nursing courses, as well as MSN capstone project courses.
Her clinical interests include OBGYN, maternal-child health, and public health. She has spent the majority of her nursing career working as a registered nurse in critical care, medical-surgical care, and women's health, as well as a family nurse practitioner in home health, maternal-fetal medicine, and primary care. This experience has allowed her to connect with students across various disciplines and interests in nursing.
She is currently working on developing a gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) group visit protocol utilizing continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) as adjunctive therapy to standard GDM care. Having partnered with two leading biosensor device companies to sponsor the project, she looks forward to publishing the outcome data in the near future.
