Biography

Dr. Patrick Saint-Jean, S.J, is a Member of the Society of Jesus-Jesuit and an adjunct professor in the School of Nursing and Health Professional Psychology program, Psy.D. He brings more than 15 years of experience in clinical psychology, psychoanalyst, psychotherapy, teaching, and writing skills. He specializes in complex trauma and racial trauma. Dr. Saint-Jean has a plethora of teaching experience with undergraduates and graduate students; he is a public speaker and author of several popular academic books and articles. For many years, Dr. Saint-Jean worked in patient outreach, Individual and group therapy, school counseling, program management, conflict solving, spiritual counseling, Neuro Spiritual therapy, racial counseling, individual therapy, group therapy, hospital administration, Trauma Resilience Specialist, TRM, and EMDR Specialist. 

Dr. Saint-Jean has international experience and a proven track record of working closely with public and private sector stakeholders to support people in need from different walks of life, especially those with mental health needs. Adaptable leader leveraging strong interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate personal, professional, and organizational development regarding clinical engagement. He is fluent in about eight languages. As a trained analyst from the École de Psychanalyse de Lacan in Paris, France, Dr. Saint-Jean can engage in profound philosophical conversations with skills and international diplomatic experiences to help patients process their trauma. He is passionate about the Intersection of Ignatian Spirituality, Neuro Spirituality, Psychoanalysis, and Psychology. He is well-versed in race, racism, and intergenerational trauma.
