Biography

Dr.Sylvia Andrade's nursing career spans 46 years and still counting. Her nursing journey started from a being a clinical nurse at the bedside to nursing management and administration to academia.  In addition to nursing leadership, her nursing specialties includes medical, surgical, geriatric and all areas in critical care. 

Dr. Andrade loves to teach and has been teaching at USF School of Nursing and Health Professions since 2011. She serves as the Clinical Professor for Sophomore 1 and Senior 2 students. She directly supervises nursing students in all clinical areas. Her teaching philosophy is rooted on passion; passion to teach,  passion for the nursing profession and passion to care for patients. She's the 2018 recipient of the Distinguished Adjunct Award for excellence in teaching.
