Biography

Uzma Gowher is a Adjunct Nursing Clinical Instructor at USF, where she is proud to return as a USF alumna to teach part time. She brings over 3 years of clinical experience as a perinatal nurse on a high-risk obstetrics unit, providing care to patients with complex maternal and fetal conditions across the perinatal continuum.

Uzma has a strong passion for obstetric nursing and is deeply committed to nursing education. Her clinical background informs her teaching approach, allowing her to effectively bridge evidence-based practice with real world patient care. She values fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment and enjoys mentoring students as they develop clinical skills, confidence, and professional judgement.

Through her role as a clinical professor, Uzma is dedicated to preparing nursing students to deliver compassionate, safe, and high quality care in maternal-child health settings while encouraging lifelong learning and professional growth.
