Reunion Builds Upon Alumni Network
Graduates from classes ending in '4 and '9 were welcomed to the event along with family and friends.
The event featured dinner, live music, and dancing as well as entertainment from the comedy juggler Frank Olivier, who performed magic tricks during the cocktail hour and later juggled machetes and performed ballet on his unicycle.
"Reunions are always fun and this was no exception. The turnout was the best ever," Dean Jeffrey Brand said. "What made this reunion so special was the recognition by graduates that the law school provided skills that made careers possible—a message not lost on recent graduates who were in attendance along with a group of students who will graduate this year. The law really can be a great profession and the USF alumni network is there to help."
In addition to opening remarks by Brand, Rev. Donal Godfrey, S.J. performed the invocation and Reunion Committee Chair Michael Dergosits '84 and Law Student Ambassador Ellie Stone 3L spoke at the event. A reception to thank the 2009 Reunion Committee immediately preceded the reunion.
