The School of Management at the University of San Francisco Celebrates the Start of its Centennial Year

SAN FRANCISCO (October 10, 2024) – On Tuesday, September 24th, students, alumni, faculty and staff gathered to kick off the University of San Francisco (USF) School of Management’s centennial year, marking 100 years of serving students globally. It is also a year for the School of Management to look to the future and innovate new ways to inspire students and partner with leaders across the Bay Area.

“As we celebrate our 100th anniversary, we reflect on a century of excellence, innovation, and leadership,” said Otgo Erhemjamts, dean of the USF School of Management. “Our alumni have made remarkable contributions across industries, reflecting our institution’s core values. This centennial year is not only a time to honor our past achievements, but also to look forward with optimism and ambition. We are committed to developing compassionate, adaptable, resilient, and strong future leaders. By incorporating the Jesuit values of cura personalis, magis, and being people for and with others, into a forward-looking business curriculum, we will equip our students with the skills necessary to tackle global challenges such as climate change and income inequality.”

USF’s School of Management offers cutting-edge programs at the intersection of business, technology, and sustainability, preparing undergraduate and graduate students to be competitive and lead with purpose in a wide range of industries. In the 2025 U.S. News and World Report rankings, USF is in the top 25 percent of universities for undergraduates, as well as 18th in entrepreneurship and 26th in marketing. Additionally, Poets & Quants recognized the school’s new Master in Management as a top program in the U.S.

“The sight of new and familiar faces gathering on a beautiful day highlighted the deep sense of community that makes our school so special,” stated business administration student Angel Trang ’27. “USF has always been a welcoming and supportive environment, and I’m excited to see where my remaining years here will lead, knowing I’m part of something far bigger than myself.”

The School of Management’s centennial will be commemorated throughout the next year, featuring the publication of a history book in fall 2025, a gala on September 25, 2025, and alumni receptions across the world. A centennial webpage is in production, to keep the university community and public informed on upcoming events and opportunities to engage with the school.
