University of San Francisco to Confer Degrees Upon More Than 2,300 Graduates at Spring 2019 Commencement Ceremonies
Ceremonies featuring Honorary Degree recipients and commencement addresses from distinguished leaders to take place May 16-18
SAN FRANCISCO (May 2, 2019) -- The University of San Francisco’s (USF) newest graduating class includes 1,102 undergraduates, 1,098 graduate students, and 163 doctoral candidates who will be honored during commencement ceremonies May 16-18, 2019 at St. Ignatius Church on the USF campus. Commencement addresses will be given by distinguished leaders in the fields of education, health, business, law, and public service, including the first Surgeon General of the State of California, Nadine Burke Harris, MD, MPH, educator and CEO of Enterprise for Youth Ninive Clements Calegari, and author and activist Helen Zia.
Members of this spring’s graduating class hail from 60 countries around the globe, including Belarus, Ecuador, Mozambique, South Korea and Uzbekistan, and from 44 states and U.S. Territories. Continuing USF’s commitment to access, 668 students of the graduating class of 2019 are first generation college students. Additionally, Graduate Counseling Psychology, Law, Education, Nursing and Undergraduate Psychology are among the top majors of this distinguished USF class.
The full USF Spring 2019 Commencement Schedule is listed below. All events are ticketed, and with the exception of the ROTC Commissioning Ceremony, will be held at St. Ignatius Church on the USF campus.
