Winter Commencement 2023 Set to Kick Off
The 165th Commencement ceremonies of the University of San Francisco will be Dec. 15 at St. Ignatius Church, with 762 graduates receiving degrees from the College of Arts and Sciences, the School of Nursing and Health Professions, and the School of Management.
Fred Angulo ’78, MA ’79, who helped develop the vaccine against the COVID-19 virus, will give the commencement address at the School of Nursing and Health Professions ceremony.
Randall Stuart Kline, founder of SFJAZZ, will give the commencement address at the College of Arts and Sciences ceremony.
Joe Allanson, who oversees the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) business practices of Salesforce, will give the commencement address at the School of Management ceremony.
The School of Nursing and Health Professions has the highest number of graduates this commencement, with 367 receiving degrees. There are 143 undergraduates and 194 who are receiving graduate degrees.
The College of Arts and Sciences has 273 graduates, with 169 undergraduates and 104 who are receiving graduate degrees.
The School of Management has 115 graduates, with 64 undergraduates and 51 receiving graduate degrees.
All ceremonies will be streamed virtually on USF's website and YouTube.

Honorary Degree recipient and commencement address: Fred Angulo ’78, MA ’79, DMV, Ph.D., Lead, Scientific Affairs, Tick-Borne and Enteric Diseases, Pfizer Vaccines
