The University of San Francisco School of Nursing and Health Professions has launched the Nurse Health Equity Scholars program, the first of its kind in California.
Every fall session, the Fromm Institute showcases USF Faculty, leaders, researchers, and students with the Series “Changing the World From Here – USF Faculty Lectures” — a culmination and celebration of several projects: The concerted effort to diversify the Fromm Institute’s academic offerings, a forum to support intergenerational exchange and USF’s “Age-Friendly University” initiative, and a formal recognition of the Fromm Institute’s longtime relationship with USF.

Thanks to donor-funded resources, more than 110 sophomore BSN students, 20 VANAP BSN students, and 27 ME-MSN Orange County students received their first pair of scrubs and lab coat to start their clinical practice rotations in the Fall of 2023.
Both Universities, USF and Santa Clara — where I did my undergraduate business program — have inspired me to be a person for others. Now, going even further, I want to be a person with others in their journey, shared Everardo.

Fry-Bowers, PhD, JD, RN, CPNP, FAAN, dean of the University of San Francisco (USF) School of Nursing and Health Professions shares with us her strategic vision for the next 10 years as USF transforms the former blood bank center, now known as the Health and Life Sciences Campus, to become a trailblazing facility that will simulate real-world care settings for students to learn and grow from their mistakes.
