The Road Less Taken: Works by Manuel Rodriquez, Sr. features representative print and acrylic paintings from four decades by Rodriguez, often called “The Father of Philippine Printmaking.” 

This exhibit was cosponsored by The Philippine Consulate General of San Francisco. 

About the Artist

Manuel A. Rodriguez, Sr. (1915-2017) has carved a niche in the art world for himself which has earned him great admiration and a place in Philippine history. His innovative works, especially in printmaking, have elevated him to a mentor for a new generation of students that few artists enjoy.
