Global Feminist Forum: Film Screening - How Feminist Media Helped Change the World

In the film Analogue Revolution: How Feminism Media Changed the World, Marusya Bociurkiw collects Canadian feminist storytellers of the 1970s to 1990s who took hold of cutting-edge media technology to document everything—from violence towards women to how to insert a diaphragm. Analogue Revolution tells the story of a world-changing and sophisticated communications network that resulted in almost 1000 feminist journals and newspapers and dozens of radio shows, film festivals and film/video collectives across Canada.

Film director, activist & communications professor Marusya Bociurkiw, will join us the following Tuesday in CO 107, as part of the Global Feminist Forum, to discuss her film and how to reclaim & represent feminist and BIPOC history.
