Writers of Discontent & University Ministry: Supporting Undocumented Students
Writers of Discontent was founded with the vision of creating meaningful change in our communities. Over the past five years, it has raised thousands of dollars to combat the pressing issues of racism, sexism, homelessness, censorship, and gun violence, while amplifying the voices of those affected. We've supported organizations such as the Southern Poverty Law Center, Unite Against Book Bans, March for Our Lives, Stop AAPI Hate, and Glide Memorial Church. We have a simple belief: unity makes us stronger.
Support Undocumented Students at USF: Magis Scholarship & Fellowship Fund
The Interfaith and Social Justice Program of University Ministry has hosted fundraisers and events over the years to uplift and support Undocumented students at the University of San Francisco. Your contribution will help raise awareness and show these students that they are valued and supported by faculty, staff, and peers.
All proceeds from this Giving Campaign will go directly to the Magis Scholarship and Fellowship Fund, which helps undocumented students bridge financial gaps and overcome barriers to higher education. Inspired by the Jesuit value of Magis, meaning "striving for the better," this fund embodies the spirit of service, standing in solidarity with those in need, and advocating for marginalized communities.
