Biography

Bilgehan studies the societal impacts of emerging technologies such as AI, electric vehicles, and social media. His research focuses on ethics, algorithmic decision-making, and human-technology interaction, using expert interviews, case studies, and structured decision-making tools to examine how technology shapes institutions, labor, and daily life.

He teaches courses on business analytics, technopreneurship, and the societal impact of technology. His classes emphasize both technical understanding and ethical reflection, often incorporating hands-on case work, industry projects, and tools like decision models and collaborative workshops.

Bilgehan holds a PhD in Technology Management from Portland State University and previously worked in UX research and program management at Meta and Tesla. He regularly brings real-world insights—and former industry collaborators—into the classroom.

Outside academia, he enjoys playing soccer, writing, and reading world classics. He is also passionate about exploring the intersections of food, culture, and history.
