David Menéndez-Álvarez

David Menéndez Álvarez earned his Doctorate in English Literature from the Universidad Complutense of Madrid. His dissertation focused on Bay Area poetry, which he teaches in the CMPL program. He has been teaching Spanish at USF since 2007. He loves reading and discussing poetry. He also loves to play, study and listen to music from all cultures and eras. He has studied culture and language from Spain, U.S., Japan, China and France. David has published several translations of poetry into Spanish in Spain and the U.S.
