Ellen Thompson

Ellen Thompson has been teaching lower division writing courses at USF—RHET 99, 110, and 120—since 2000. She has also taught upper-division and graduate-level expository writing, creative writing, critical thinking, college-level reading, and fire service courses. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing, an MA in English: Creative Writing, and graduate certificates to teach post-secondary reading and composition from San Francisco State. She has a BA in Social Science from Humboldt State, a Landscape Architecture certificate from Berkeley Extension, and many State Fire Marshal certificates that she earned during a 20-year firefighting career.
