Biography
A New York City native, Jeanmarie has lived in the Bay Area for over thirty years. She holds both a BA and MA in Psychology and is a licensed Marriage Family Therapist.(MFT). Jeanmarie has worked in a variety of mental health settings primarily focusing on adolescents, young adults and adults. She is currently in private practice in Los Altos.
In addition to private practice and teaching, Jeanmarie has a long term practice in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction(MBSR), also known as Insight Meditation, and Mindful Self Compassion(MSC). Jeanmarie has taught both MBSR and MSC courses at El Camino Hospital in Mountain View, and integrates this work into her work as a clinician. Jeanmarie has been an adjunct faculty at USF since 2008.
