Biography
Kate Kranz Jordan served for 12 years as an active duty Naval Flight Officer. She spent her Navy career flying in the E-2C Hawkeye with the VAW-113 Black Eagles and the USS Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group, working as a member of the Commandant’s staff at the US Naval Academy, serving on the NATO Rule of Law Field Support Mission in Afghanistan, and acting as a Special Assistant to the Commander of US Naval Forces Europe/Africa/NATO Joint Force Command, Naples, Italy.
A 2002 graduate of the US Naval Academy, Kate also holds Master’s degrees from the University of Oklahoma in Administrative Leadership and the Fletcher School at Tufts University in Law and Diplomacy. Kate is a co-author and editor of In the Shadow of Greatness: Voices of Leadership, Service and Sacrifice from America’s Longest War, a two time Los Angeles Times best seller chronicling junior officers’ experiences in the post 9/11 military.
Kate currently works as a legal and compliance advisor for Gartner, Inc. She is married to an active duty Navy officer and has 2 sons.
