Marc Martin

Marc Martin comes from a diverse experiential and practical background. He holds a BFA in painting from USF and has completed graduate work both in Painting from the Massachusetts College of Art and in printmaking from San Francisco State University. He studied mediation and negotiation at the Harvard Law School and has been trained in arbitration by the American Arbitration Association. He currently maintains a family mediation practice, continues his painting and lithography, and teaches Public Speaking in the Rhetoric department at USF. He also teaches International Negotiation at Hult International Business School and Conflict Resolution and Mediation courses in the Communication Studies department at San Francisco State University. In addition, he volunteers his time as judge and coach for the student negotiation competition teams at the UC Hastings Law School.

His light-hearted teaching style is geared to all learning styles since different students tend to effectively learn in different ways. He utilizes teaching techniques that reach out to the sensory, intuitive, visual, verbal, active and reflective learners in the class.
