Marlene Mahony

Marlene Mahony earned her doctorate degree in International and Multicultural Education, with a double concentration in Human Rights and Linguistics. Her study investigated The Causes and Cures of Unclear Scholarly Writing, which blended elements of linguistics, rhetoric, critical pedagogy, and scholarly writing.

She also earned her M.F.A. in Creative Nonfiction, her M.A. in British Literature, and her B.A. in English. She teaches academic writing, with an emphasis on style, rhetoric, and social justice, at the University of San Francisco and at St. Mary’s College.
