Biography
Pat Schwieterman earned BS degrees in Environmental Science and Plant Science at UC Riverside, and MA and PhD degrees in medieval English literature at UC Berkeley. At USF, he has taught courses on Middle English literature, children's literature, science fiction, and the Arthurian legend. His research focuses on the use of supernatural beings in constructions of cultural and political identity in medieval Britain. Other interests include medieval Wales, Old Icelandic and Old French, and the history of the English language.
