Raffaele Perrotta

Biography
Raffaele Perrotta received his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Maryland, College Park, in 2012 and his BS in Chemistry from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2003. Dr. Perrotta worked as a Post-Doc in Dr. Daniel E. Falvey's research group from 2012-2013 at the University of Maryland. Prior to coming to USF, Dr. Perrotta was an Adjunct Chemistry Instructor at Holy Names University in 2022, a Chemistry Lecturer at UC Berkeley in the summer of 2023, a Chemistry Lecturer at UC Merced from 2015-2021, an Adjunct Chemistry Instructor at Merced College from 2018-2020, and a Chemistry Lecturer at Humboldt State University from 2014-2015. Dr. Perrotta has been an Adjunct Chemistry Instructor at USF since 2022.
His current research interests mainly focus on chemical education. Dr. Perrotta is interested in integrating active learning techniques into undergraduate-level Chemistry courses which includes the use of Clickers and designing short topic-based videos for students.
