Ricky R. Norwood

Biography
Dr. Norwood has a strong focus on health promotion, disease prevention and wellness and is fully committed to provide quality patient care and safety, coordination, communication, and advocacy for patients and their families. He brings more than 27 years of nursing experience with a background in family practice, trauma nursing, surgical nursing and military nursing. Dr. Norwood currently serves as an Associate Professor at USF, primary care provider for over 200 patients at Grass Valley Extended Care, Co-chair of the Education Committee of CANP, and Chair of the Health & Wellness Committee of the 100 Black Men of Sacramento. He guest lectures on the topic of Clinical Leadership and has participated as a speaker for several local Health Professional community events, encouraging and inspiring young people, especially minorities to become a healthcare professional.
