Biography
Steve Varholik is senior counsel at the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission where he works in the Division of Enforcement’s Asset Management Unit. In addition to his work there, Steve has served as special counsel in the Division of Trading and Markets. Prior to joining the Commission, Steve practiced in law firms in Washington, D.C. and San Francisco. In private practice, Steve represented clients in securities regulatory enforcement matters, securities arbitrations and mediations, antitrust investigations and litigation, trademark litigation, and other civil litigation. He has also taught securities law classes at Georgetown University Law Center and George Washington University School of Law.
