Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps
Come join the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC). Enrich your college experience. Gain a challenging and rewarding leadership role at a young age. Train to be a commissioned officer after graduation.
Our Mission
The Dons Battalion educates, trains, and inspires cadets to become leaders of character, committed to the Army Values, and prepared to excel as an officer in the US Army.
What is ROTC?
Army ROTC is an elective you take along with your required college classes. You'll be given the tools, training, and experiences to help you succeed in any competitive environment. Because ROTC is an elective, you can participate without any obligation to serve in the Army until you decide to sign your contract and get on a scholarship. You will have a normal college experience but when you graduate, you will be commissioned as an officer in the Army in either Active Duty or the Reserves/National Guard, and have over 20 different career fields in the Army to choose from.
What makes our program unique?
The Army ROTC program at USF offers full-tuition scholarship opportunities as well as room & board coverage for contracted cadets, and access to internships with government agencies and national labs worldwide. With a high degree completion and graduation rate, you will graduate as a professional leader of character, confidence, competence, and conscientiousness. Our courses are guided by Army values, and they will help you develop intellectual curiosity, problem-solving skills, and prepare you for a successful military and civilian life.
Scholarship Opportunities
Army ROTC offers full-tuition scholarship opportunities to cadets that include covering tuition, room & board, as well as books & supplies.
