Before the world had ever heard of COVID-19, Sarah Ives was working to fight it.
Ives is a vaccine consultant at Centivax, working on a universal flu vaccine that could quell even the most dangerous strains of flu. She was featured in the Netflix series Pandemic, about what might happen during a catastrophic flu outbreak. The documentary was released just as coronavirus was beginning to infiltrate China.
Ives is also the director of strategic partnerships at Charles River Labs, a company that oversees research to develop drugs for diseases like cancer.
