As we say farewell to 2020, we invite you to review the year — in stories and in pictures. These are 2020’s most read stories by students, alumni, parents, faculty, and staff, starting with the No.1 article:
- Eat Like a Don. This feature explores the culinary scene that connects us at USF, with a list of 150 alumni-owned and operated restaurants, cafes, bars, and wineries in the Bay Area and beyond, from USF Magazine’s first Food & Drink Issue.
- Coffee Kings. In this USF Magazine feature, we learn the story of two former USF students who founded Starbucks and went on to own Peet’s.
- USF Makes Princeton Review’s 2021 Top Colleges. The university is one of 386 colleges and universities recognized by the Princeton Review as a top university in the U.S.
- Stopping the Next Pandemic. As the world moved in mid-February to begin tackling the coronavirus, Netflix released a documentary featuring USF alumni working to prevent a catastrophic outbreak.
- USF Donates Medical Masks, Equipment to Hospitals. The university donated much-needed personal protection equipment (PPE) to local hospitals in San Francisco that were caring for COVID-19 patients.
