Coffman Awarded $50,000 To Participate In River Habitat Restoration
Gretchen Coffman has been awarded a grant of $50,000 by the University of California, Santa Barbara, to participate in the Santa Clara River Habitat Restoration Project.
Using this money, Coffman and her graduate students will develop a study design and conduct long-term monitoring of riparian plant growth and ecophysiology in the restoration area for the next five years.
The grant is being funded by the Ventura County Watershed Protection District.
Coffman is an Assistant Professor with the MS in Environmental Management program. She also teaches in the undergraduate majors of Environmental Studies and Environmental Science.
