U.S. News & World Report Ranks USF a Top National University for 2021

The University of San Francisco is in the top third of national universities ranked by U.S. News & World Report for 2021, tying with Stanford for fourth in the nation for campus ethnic diversity.

USF ranked 103 among 389 universities, and placed in the top 100 for best value, most international students, best colleges for veterans, and for its social mobility ranking. In that category, the report found USF students graduating at a higher rate than would be predicted by their demographic and economic profiles.

Highlights from the new rankings report include:

“We are proud USF is being recognized for the Jesuit values that we stand for — cura personalis or care for the whole person, being people for others, and a commitment to diversity in all forms,” said Tyrone H. Cannon, interim provost and vice president of academic affairs.

 

  • USF ranks 29th for campuses with the most international students
  • USF is 69th of 389 universities in the category “Best Value Schools”
  • USF ranks 68th in the nation as one of the best colleges for veterans
  • USF improved its social mobility ranking, jumping 16 spots to 80th nationally
