Professional Communication Certificate

Develop an understanding of strategic, technical, or health communication. Learn from professors and mentors who provide experiences, instruction, and substantive feedback. Certificate courses can transfer to USF's Master in Professional Communication program.

What to Expect

You will enroll in courses from the Professional Communication master’s program. The certificate program is a three-course sequence (12 units). You'll take one required course and two electives selected from the following categories:

Strategic Communication

Develop the expertise, tools, and techniques to develop results-oriented communication plans and target messages both within and outside of organizations to impact behavior and reputation.

Technical Communication

Translate complex scientific, engineering, or technical information into content that users can understand and utilize in digital communications, storytelling, UX design, and other fields.

Health Communication

Learn the theoretical and practical communication tools needed to effectively and ethically impact public and personal health literacy through developing health awareness campaigns, improving patient relationships, and explaining health care policy.
