Andrew Lah

Andrew Lah is a Visiting Professor at the University of San Francisco School of Law. He brings years of experience as a supervising criminal civil rights prosecutor, a federal public defender, and as private counsel litigating complex civil and criminal cases into the classroom. 

An experienced trial attorney, he has been called on to train public defenders, prosecutors, law enforcement officials, and civil litigators on investigations and trial practice, including at multinational forums with lawyers from Jamaica, Ecuador, Brazil, South Korea, and Canada. He has advised numerous entities on civil rights and policing issues, such as the Ministerio Publico in Rio de Janeiro, the Washington Task Force on Policing, the City of San Jose, and King County.  He has also served on the faculties of multiple law schools in the Bay Area, where he has taught Criminal Procedure, Evidence, and courses on policing.
