Biography
Laurence A. Blau is Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law, Certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization.
He is an adjunct professor of law at the University of San Francisco School of Law and UC Law, San Francisco (Hastings). Mr. Blau has also taught at San Francisco City College and San Francisco Law School. He is the past chairman of the San Francisco Chapter of the Young Tax Lawyers Association. He was on the American Bar Association task force for Tax Simplification. He has published various articles, including co-authoring an article in the California Tax Lawyer on the Effect of Tax Changes on Sub chapter S Corporations and an article in San Francisco Attorney on The Current Interrelationship between the Income Tax and the Wealth Transfer Tax. He has published a book entitled Fundamentals of California Estate Planning and Estate Administration.
Mr. Blau is a San Francisco native, who graduated with distinction in his major from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He received his law degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law and his LLM in taxation from the University of Florida College of Law.
