Michael D. Torre received a PhD in 1983 and joined the USF philosophy department in 1989. He is now its senior member. He has served as the department chair and as the coordinator of its ethics sections. Professor Torre has been a past vice-president of the Institut Internationale Jacques Maritain, and is currently serving on its Scientific Committee. Professor Michelle Travis is a Dean’s Circle Scholar and Co-Director of USF's Work Law and Justice Program. She specializes in employment law with a focus on disability discrimination, sex discrimination, and work/family balance. Her interdisciplinary scholarship uses social cognition and sociology research to reveal how antidiscrimination law could be used to eliminate structural, organizational, and cognitive biases in the workplace. Steve Trettel is a geometric topologist, interested in 3-manifolds, interdisciplinary applications of modern geometry, and mathematical illustration. Dr. Jennifer Tripp received a bachelor's degree in chemistry from USF, and went on to earn a PhD in chemistry from UC Berkeley. Upon receiving her doctorate, she was granted an NSF International Fellowship supporting a two-year postdoctoral research appointment at the University of Oxford, where she developed novel separation techniques for archaeological biomolecules.
