4+3 BA/BS-JD Program
The 4+3 BA/BS-JD program is a joint offering of the College of Arts and Sciences, School of Management, and School of Law, which provides a guaranteed scholarship to qualified USF undergraduates and transfer students seeking to attend USF School of Law.
Undergraduate students from all majors are eligible to apply for this program. Successful applicants will receive a renewable scholarship of at least $40,000 per year. All scholarships awarded through the 4+3 program are subject to the School of Law’s standards for renewal.
How to Qualify
- Add the 4+3 “Special Program” (or 2+2+3 “Special Program” if you are a transfer student) to your transcript by completing the Change of Academic Program Form by February 1 of your fourth year.
- Submit the Admission Requirements Agreement form to the 4+3 program director by February 1 of your fourth year.
- Submit your application to the law school by February 1 of your fourth year. The application fee for USF Law will be waived for applicants of the 4+3 program.
- Earn an undergraduate GPA of at least 3.5.
- Achieve an LSAT score equal to, or greater than, the law school’s first-year class median from the prior year (for Fall 2024 admitted applicants, the median LSAT score was 154).
Review Process
In addition to the minimum GPA and LSAT score, all applications will be reviewed by the Law School Admissions Committee to ensure there are no character and fitness issues that would prevent admission to the bar.
Students who do not meet the undergraduate GPA requirement of 3.5 and/or the LSAT score requirement may still apply to law school and will be considered by the Admissions Committee through their holistic review process.
