Karyn Schell received her PhD in Romance Linguistics from the University of Washington. She also serves as the Spanish Language Coordinator. Her areas of interest include Second Language Acquisition, Foreign Language Teaching Pedagogy, and Theoretical Linguistics. She teaches Spanish language and culture, Spanish conversation, and service-learning.

Jill Schepmann earned an MFA in creative writing from Vanderbilt University and a BA in English and psychology from the University of Kansas. Calla Schmidt received a PhD in Earth Science from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Her research spans physical hydrology and biogeochemistry and aims to understand the connection between hydrology and the biogeochemical cycling of nutrients. She has done research on nutrient cycling during groundwater recharge, nitrogen pollution in highway runoff and presently she is working on a project investigating the transfer of nutrients discharged by wastewater treatment plants into the base of…

Lois Schwartz is senior lecturer in law and a member of the full-time faculty at UC Hastings College of the Law. In addition to teaching, she completed a judicial clerkship in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California in 2001-2002 and has served as a staff attorney and deputy public defender in Contra Costa County.

Pat Schwieterman earned BS degrees in Environmental Science and Plant Science at UC Riverside, and MA and PhD degrees in medieval English literature at UC Berkeley. At USF, he has taught courses on Middle English literature, children's literature, science fiction, and the Arthurian legend.
